Policies

These policies are in place to ensure a safe and professional environment for our clients. Please note that for special events such as shows or clinics, there may be additional expectations for participants and spectators. These will be announced and posted in advance. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

  1. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
  2. Absolutely no running, rough play, or shouting near the barn or horses.
  3. No climbing or sitting on gates, fences, or farm equipment.
  4. Do not enter a stall, pasture, or other area without permission and supervision.
  5. There are designated areas for spectators and vehicles. Please utilize only these areas.
  6. Do not bring dogs, leashed or otherwise, onto the premises. 
  7. The horses at DeLima Stables are able to work with riders weighing up to 220lbs. Riders who exceed this weight limit will be referred to other facilities.
  8. Riders must wear approved riding boots at all times. Spectators not also wearing approved footwear are asked to remain a safe distance away from all horses.
  9. When mounted, riders must always wear an approved helmet.
  10. Riding alone is strictly prohibited. An instructor or supervisor must be in the arena. 
  11. Arrive at least 10 minutes before any scheduled appointment. 
  12. Always give appropriate notice (at least 3 hours) when canceling an lesson or training session. There is a $20.00 charge for all no shows; exceptions are granted only for emergencies and are at the discretion of the trainer. 
  13. Wear appropriate riding attire to all events. Please see our show attire requirements. 
  14. When purchasing a gift card, please provide a phone number or email address. After six (6) months, gift cards become non-refundable. 
  15. Registration for June and July summer camps opens in January. After May 1st, payment for camp is non-refundable.
  16. Be respectful. This includes other clients, horses, and property.
